Zalanea

Original/intended premise:

"Sometime in the distant future, the player is part of a space mission that centres around exploring a mysterious, newly-colonised planet called Zalanea that houses a cosmic artifact - which is known by scientists as the 'Light Crystal' - however, the artifact has been broken into six shards due to the effects of the planet's colonisation and assimilation. After the player's spaceship is destroyed and the rest of the crew terminated, they must now locate all six shards on their own whilst unravelling the terrifying plans of a rival organization. Will you save the planet and yourself from this threat, or will you fall just as easily as your fallen colleagues?"
